Radiation Protection Products' Lead Backed Gypsum Panels Now UL Fire Rated

Radiation Protection Products' RPP-LBG lead lined sheetrock has been tested, approved, and fire rated by Underwriters Laboratories for wall partition construction.

9 May 2012-In response to increasing demand by architects for fire-rated, lead lined drywall products for wall partition applications, Radiation Protection Products, Inc. (RPP) partnered with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for complete testing of their RPP-LBG lead backed gypsum panels. RPP-LBG has now been approved and fire rated by UL.

RPP's most basic lead lined sheetrock product, RPP-LBG consists of 5/8" thick panels that utilize 99.9% pure lead that meets Federal Specification QQ-L-201f, Grade "C" requirements. In addition to its proprietary wall partition design RPP-LBG lead backed gypsum panels, RPP's system is also approved for use in the following UL Design Numbers: U301, U305, U404, U411,U415, U419, U423, U424, U435, U438, U445, U465, U469, U493, V438, V439, V477, V479, V490, V498, W403, and W410.
