Well-Seasoned on All Forms Of Radiation Shielding

Lead Lined Glass

Radiation Protection Products’ leaded x-ray glass delivers superior visual clarity and high light transmission with little or no distortion. Suitable for many uses and primarily in the medical industry, lead-lined x-ray glass provides high-grade protection against gamma rays and x-rays.

Effective Protection with Radiation Shielding Glass

We use the purest lead available in all our radiation shielding products, ensuring the best use of your budget and space while providing the most effective lead shielding possible. Our optical-grade lead glass contains 38% lead and 15% barium, resulting in light amber-colored glass suitable for installation within screens, walls, and doors.

Available Leaded Glass Configurations

Equivalencies for our leaded X-ray glass are based on 150kV, with higher lead equivalencies available upon request. Our standard radiation shielding glass is available in 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.2mm equivalencies. We manufacture our high-grade lead-lined glass following the Lead Industries Handbook and NCRP Applicable Reports to ensure our radiation protection supplies meet or exceed Federal Specification DD-G-451.

We also offer specially designed laminated lead shielding glass that consists of 1/16” leaded glass laminated to a piece of clear float. This design helps meet state specifications requiring safety and lead properties in all vision panels. View our Leaded Glass Submittal for more information on product specifications.
